Harry Davidson Bio 

Harry Davidson ist ein Singer/Songwriter. Er spielt Gitarre, Bass und Ukulele. Seine typische Bariton-Stimme trägt die Songs aus eigener Feder, welche von Genres wie frühem Rock'n'Roll, Blues, Rhythm&Blues, Rockabilly, Country, Gitarren-Instrumentals und Western-Swing beeinflusst sind.

Musikalische Karriere:

Harry Davidson, alias "Harry Hurtig", hat in seiner langen Karriere in vielen Bands gespielt. Beim Linzer Punk Trio "The Rats" (1981-1984) war er Sänger und Bassist, bei der Gothikband "The Priests" (1985-1989) Sänger und Gitarrist, ehe er mit "der schrillen Kapelle vom Pöstlingberg", den "McGregorys" (1989-1999) als Sänger und Gitarrist seine erfolgreichste Formation fand. Sein Song "Hollywood Morning" drang 1996 in den Austria Top 40 Charts bis auf Rang 28 vor. Mit den "Honeytones" (1999-2000) gab es danach einen kurzen Ausflug in die Gefielde der Gitarren-Instrumental und Surfmusik. Ab 2000 wandte er sich dem Blues und Jazz zu, als Sänger und Bassist der "Fat Cat R&B Band", die bis heute musikalisch aktiv ist. 2004 gründete er "Harry Davidson & The Road Kings", wo er seiner Liebe zu Rockabilly, Rock'n'Roll und Country freien Lauf ließ. Mit dem zweiten Platz beim "Country Music Award 2015" in Pullman City/Deutschland hat Harry zusätzlich seine Qualitäten als Solo Interpret unterstrichen. 

Pandemie bedingt entdeckte Harry 2019 seine Lust an der One-Man-Band und tourt seit dem mit Gitarre, Bassdrum und Percussion und einem umfangreichen Soloprogramm seiner englischsprachigen Songs durch die Lande.

Mit  Rhythm & Blues, etwas Swing und Rockabilly und einem Herz für schmachtende Balladen malt Harry Davidson seinen eigenen musikalischen Kosmos, der mit ausgewählten Coverversionen geschmackvoll ergänzt wird .

musical career:

Throughout his long career Harry Davidson, alias "Harry Hurtig", played in several Austrian bands. With the punk trio "The Rats" (1981-1984) he was singer and bass player, with the gothic rockband "The Priests" (1985-1989) he performed as singer and guitarist, before the "Mc Gregorys" (1989-1999), where he was singer and guitarist, became his most successful band. His song "Hollywood Morning" made it 1996 up to number 28 in the Austrian Top 40 charts. With the "Honeytones" (1999-2000) he soared for a short period of time on the waves of 1960ies guitar instrumental- and surfmusic. Since 2000 he turned his attention on Blues and Jazz as singer and bass player with the still active "Fat Cat R&B Band". 2004 he started "Harry Davidson & The Road Kings" where he celebrated his love for Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll and Country music. With a second place at the "Country Music Award 2015" in Pullman City/Germany, Harry also underlined his qualities as a solo performer.

Forced by pandemic circumstances he discovered 2019 his favour for touring as a "One-Man-Band", accompanied by guitar, bass drum and percussion, presenting his wide archive of self penned songs.

With Rhythm & Blues, some Swing, Rockabilly and a big heart for cheese ballads he paints his own musical cosmos, enriched by some well chosen cover versions.
